My VPN client’s IP address is still 172.27.232.4 as in the diagram given above. What we can see in the results above is that the very first address on the path from the VPN client to the target is 172.27.232.1. That is the internal VPN client subnet IP address of my OpenVPN Access Server itself. The VPN Client failed to send a start request for establishing the VPN connection to the service/daemon. The service/daemon may be stopped, hung, or not running. Communication with the service/daemon may have failed.
Mar 04, 2008 · Make sure that Cisco Systems, Inc VPN Service status is Started. If it's not, right click on the service and click Start. Also make sure by going into the service (double click on the service) and Startup type is set to Automatic.
