In regards to the 610n, would the dual band support only be applicable when using the default linksys firmware? (As per Rev's comments). Like I said, I'd prefer to stick to DD-WRT as I have had a number of issues with the default linksys firmware in some older router models. Have the WRT610N and WET610N located about 50 ft from each other. There is an open doorway between the two rooms. The separating wall has kitchen appliances along it. I chose to try out DD-WRT mainly because it still seems to have an active development community, it is free and my WRT600N seemed to be a straight forward conversion. Also, it seemed like a logical first step to building a router for a person that never has built one before and it offered a ton of features not common to many consumer level routers. I was very very happy do get it working with dd-wrt just a month ago when I saw it was support by dd-wrt (it wasn't the last time I looked). DD-WRT has been impressing users since its inception in 2005, and is the go-to alternative router firmware due to its longevity of existence and support of the largest array of devices. Consequently, DD-WRT can claim the largest community of users. It's the backbone of what we do here at FlashRouters.
